17 months ago this sweet, feisty little boy joined our family and we have been rockin' and rollin' ever since! Gavin is loving, exuberant, curious, and can throw some serious tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants : ) He is hilarious and acts like such a big boy in a little bitty body! His vocabulary is increasing daily as is his appetite and interest in new foods (thank goodness we are moving away from peanut butter sandwiches and chicken nuggets!) He hardly eats without using a fork or a spoon - utilizing utensils makes his seem so much older to me! His favorite activities are playing drums, singing in the microphone, playing outside, swinging, and eating! His other favorite activity is going to bed, which he loves to ask for! Bath time with Daddy is a must almost every night as is reading Goodnight Moon before being tucked in. Gavin hates to get his hands dirty ( I mean aside from anything outside like dirt and mud) and I often see him holding his hands out for me to clean them. Gavin has made his way to time out several times and so far not only has it been effective, but he stays put! Some of his new words include yogurt, spider, acorn, moon, freckle, owie, stuck, and lots more! He loves to point out his owies and his freckles and he is really proud that he can distinguish the two. His lovie is attached to his hip and some days lovie even ventures to the park with us - poor lovies are really getting worn out! The funniest thing Gavin has been doing this month is coming up to us, holding out his hand for us to shake, and saying, "Nice to meet you!" When Gavin wants to respond "yes" to anything we ask him, it's more of a grunt/nod at the same time - "heh!" Gavin Daniel, you bring us so much joy and laughter and I praise God for your little life!
