Ashley: 39 1/2 Weeks

5 days left to be exact. I have to admit - there is A LOT going on in our life and I NEED this baby to come - N.O.W.! Every second of every day I'm having to turn my heart over to Jesus and remind myself of the Truth that he already has Ashley's birth ordained and written and that it will be in HIS perfect timing, not mine.

"He will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3

I'm finding that my heart and mind ARE at peace when I rest in the sovereignty of the Lord. Thank goodness that I don't have to worry because He is in perfect control! When I'm anxious that my sweet husband will be leaving town for a whole week likely just days after Ashley's birth, I am reminded that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. When I fret about the other impending changes that will take place quickly and suddenly in the next 8 weeks (more to come on this subject soon), I am reminded that God is good - my time and place are purposeful and allotted Acts 17:26.

Isaiah 40 is written on my heart today : ) How I love the ways that the Holy Spirit can use the power of scripture to comfort and encourage! And now - off to eat some ice cream!

25 “To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.

27 Why do you complain, Jacob?
Why do you say, Israel,
“My way is hidden from the LORD;
my cause is disregarded by my God”?
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

The Lord just wanted to remind you of his promises only hours before you would meet your baby girl, what a precious post!
