This baby girl has been melting hearts in our home for 11 months now. I've noticed Gavin taking new and special interest in her as well - "Mommy, can I get in {the pack n play} with Ash-a-wee?" or "Mommy, I want Ash-a-wee to chase me!" Blane still dotes on her, plays with her, cuddles her, chases her, holds her just as much as he ever has; and Blane is always eager to sit just as close to her as he possibly can at the dinner table. As Ashley has grown and disclosed more of her endearing personality in month eleven, I've seen her relationship with her daddy blossom even more. What a Daddy's girl she is! Oh my he loves her so! How heartwarming it has been for me to see the ways Scott loves his little girl. This year, Ashley received the first of many precious valentine's letters from her Daddy. How amazing it is to see the Lord working through Scott to love on His baby girl.
Little Ashley has been much more vocal this month, showing off her new sounds, and holding out new objects for us to "name" for her. Tooth number seven has just made its debut, and her "sprout" pony tail no longer sticks straight up, but flops over with the weight of longer hair. She's still little at only 18 lbs, 12 ounces, but she's feisty, cruises around furniture, takes off for the stairs when she sees an escape, and stands next to anything. She's had her fair share of sickness this month, fighting off pink eye, and ear infection, coughing and wheezing bad enough to need an inhailer…but still as happy and smiley as can be. She is pure delight!
