This week in MFW we studied leaves for letter L and learned that we live and grow in Jesus alone! What a perfect picture for a little one - that just like leaves need nourishment from the whole plant to survive and grow and "do it's work" we also need to cling closely to Jesus, our source of life in the Spirit (Romans 8), for sanctification and growth. Without Him, we are condemned and our hearts are dead, just like a leaf separated from the plant withers and dies. But IN HIM, the righteous requirement of the law is filled and we become heirs of God and fellow heirs of Christ.

"Remain in me, and I will remain in you…." John 15:4

And one of my all time favorites:

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

I am so proud of these boys. It is a delight to teach them! Enjoy pictures of our week!
