Day 21: Humilty

Can you believe that we are at the end of our 21 day prayer challenge?! I have faith that we will feel great urgency to continue in prayer for our boys, our children, our spouses, our family, and our friends. What great power and sweet fellowship there is in prayer!

My heart flutters when I remember that the same God who marshals the starry hosts and calls them each by name (Is 40:26) cares for me deeply (1 Pet 5:7). The same God who stretched out the heavens and who spread the earth gives me breath (Is 42:5). I am precious and honored in his sight – he loves me (Is 43:4). He has deep compassion for me, extends everlasting kindness, and is faithful to love me (Is. 54: 7-8, Is 55:3). The Lord who is Righteous, and judges justly from his white throne (Rev 20:11) formed me, knows me, and has set me apart (Jer 1:5). He is our Rescuer (Jer 1:19), our Shepherd, our Father, our King (Luke 12:32). How can we not be humbled on our knees when we meditate on such things?

I hope to teach my boys to fear the Lord, to rest in him, and to live humbly before Him, and He will lift them up (James 4:10).

Thank you for taking this journey with me! Thank you for being committed in prayer for those whom He loves!

Psalm 78:3-7

things that we have heard and known,
 that our fathers have told us.
We will not hide them from their children,
 but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might,
 and the wonders that he has done.

He established a testimony in Jacob
 and appointed a law in Israel,
which he commanded our fathers
 to teach to their children,
that the next generation might know them,
 the children yet unborn,
and arise and tell them to their children,
 so that they should set their hope in God
and not forget the works of God,
 but keep his commandments;
