Gavin: 19 Months

My little baby is so big! As sad as it is to say goodbye to the baby stage, things are getting to be really fun with Gavin. It has been really exciting to see how he and Blane are able to interact more and more. They can have actual conversations with each other and understand what the other is saying! It is so sweet and heartwarming to hear them chatting to eachother about what they are playing with or where they should go. Blane often gives Gavin a good talking to after he's been in time out : ) These two little boys are definitely friends and companions and they love having eachother around! Gavin is still obsessed with his lovies and prefers their company over mine when he's hurt or sad. There is frequent trouble with lovie isn't allowed to take baths with Gavin, or eat with him in his highchair. Wondering how long his two lovies will survive - they are getting quite worn! Gavin had a strange viral infection this month and the result was Henoch-Schonlein Purpura , basically he had a horrible rash, joint stiffness and pain, and a fever. Luckily it passes quickly and he was back to himself (except for the fussiness that accompanies four teeth coming in).

Gavin loves to point out that his toast is cut in triangles, likes to say "Oh Man!", prefers Five Silly Monkey's Jumping on the Bed to any other book, is cuddly but only on his terms, wants to be outside ALL the time, is a serious meat and milk consumer, and is quickly learning and referring to shapes.

I love these little boys to death and am wondering what I will do when I can't refer to them as "the boys"?????
