20 Months has flown by since I first held this precious little boy in my arms! Now he's on the road to Big Boy - keeping up with his brother and coming into his independent nature. That's right folks, this BOY is anything but like his brother - he easily will wander off in a store without a care in the world where Mommy is, kisses are few and far between, he's eager to jump/leap/tackle anything without worry, he's plays aggressively with the dogs, rides his scooter around the block by himself, can throw a tantrum like no other when he doesn't get his way......let me tell you - this is NO mamma's boy! Little Gavin is full of life and oh so FUN! He laughs at the silliest things and makes the dorkiest faces because he knows it's funny. He loves to read books, loves any type of truck and "guy", and could play independently for long periods of time. He's so interested in learning to count, and if he notices multiples of anything he exclaims, "ONE, TWO cars!" He's great at identifying shapes and always tells me that his sandwich is a triangle. His favorite thing is to recite Five Silly Monkeys Swinging in a Tree and I often hear him singing this at night in the monitor. But he can also sing Pat-a-cake and Itsy Bitsy Spider in their entirety! His vocabulary is ever increasing, as is putting words together. Here are just some of the words he puts together, or funny ways he says everyday words:

He loves stickers and stamps on his hand, and is always proud to show daddy if he happened to get one that day. He WILL give me kisses at night, through the bed slats, so I cherish that : ) We moved his room around quite a bit this month, and at first he was very concerned that his bed was moved to the other side of the room...but he's adjusted. He sleeps with two lovies, a musical bear, a dog pillow, and two blankets; anything less than would be insufficient! As different as my two boys are, they each bring a unique dynamic to our family. Each of their little traits and mannerisms are full of reasons to REJOICE! I love to see and take note of their differences and wonder how God will use each of them to bring glory to Himself!
