Raising Money for St. Jude

I'm so proud of my boys. Through their prek school they have an opportunity to raise money for St. Jude's hospital by participating in a bike a thon (scooters for us!). I offered several chores for them to complete around the house in order to raise their own money, and they were elated to get to work. "We need money to help the sick kids!" they exclaim! So I put them to work today- they vacuumed, moped, dusted, cleaned all the windows, folded clothes, and cleaned stainless steel. In simple ways I hope to cultivate in them a heart for the poor, needy, lost, sick.... and I see small glimpses of sacrifice and selfless-ness even in accomplishing chores and giving their money away :)
