Today was a big day for Gavin! His DOC band arrived and we had our first fitting appointment today. My sweet mother-in-law came with me for emotional and moral support : ) Scott and I are 200% confident in this therapy, and confident that we are doing the right thing for Gavin. The hard part for me is how difficult it is to cuddle up against his head and cheek while he is wearing the helmet. Gavin is doing really well with his helmet for the first day! He's napping right now, yea! I'm also really excited to have found a wonderful vinyl wrapping company in town who is willing to transform his medical helmet into a really cool, artistic graphic (and free of charge)! We will meet with him tomorrow to narrow down all the possibilities! Thank you God for putting my heart and mind at ease through this process, and thank you for my loving and supportive husband!
