Colorado 2012

If you can't tell that our Colorado trip was one of the best of our lives, then our pictures don't do it justice! We absolutely had a blast! We played, we hiked, we rode the gondola, we did bungie trampoline, we made smores, we watched ice skating, we golfed, we played in the river, we hunted beaver, we played at parks, we went to the rodeo, we picnicked, we ate more ice cream than should be allowed, we rode horses, we did everything we could possible do outside in the COOL weather. I drank lots and lots of hot coffee : ) I was anxious about the 18 hour car trip there and back but the kids all surprised me and did beautifully. All three kids seemed to mature quite a bit on this trip. The boys were able to leave our condo, head to the elevator, find and push the button for the floor where my mom and dad's condo was located, and head to their place. B&G felt SO grown up navigating the building alone! Ashley found her legs and her innate monkey climbing ability as soon as we arrived at the hotel in Wichita headed to CO. She scaled beds and couches as if they were mere roadbumps. In the two weeks we were away Ashley also learned that running is much more exciting than simply walking, and her chattering and babbling went from hardly at all to constant talk talk talk. Sweet little girl was so much fun and Scott hardly recognized her when he came home from Kenya! On more than one occasion the boys mentioned missing JB and Ranger and they were really excited to get home to them, what sweet little hearts they have!

It was true culture shock to leave the cool colorado mountain air for the blazing Texas sun - don't worry Colorado, we WILL be back!!
